WHAT CEO BOARD MEMBERS DO
Board members are active, engaged community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to the operational oversight of our local CEO Program.
Facilitator Support: Board members provide ongoing support to the CEO Facilitator.
Event Planning: Board members plan and execute key CEO events, including investor and mentor socials, and the student trade show.
Student Recruitment & Selection: Board members organize recruitment efforts, engage with local schools, and oversee the selection of CEO students.
Mentorship Coordination: Board members recruit mentors, manage mentor-student pairings, and ensure mentor program success.
School Liaison: Board members maintain communication with school administrators to coordinate student participation and scheduling.
Investor Recruitment & Care: Board members recruit and maintain relationships with local investors, ensuring the program's financial sustainability.

President and CEOBoard Chair Committees: Event Coordinator, Facilitator Review / Hire, Investor Recruitment & CareTarren Bragdon is the President and Chief Executive Officer at the Foundation for Government Accountability, which he founded in 2011 to advance policy solutions that open up the American Dream to millions and advance free market principles. Through mid-2021, FGA has achieved more than 400 state policy reform wins in 30+ states as well as 20 big federal policy reforms. Tarren started FGA with just $50k in seed money. In 2020, FGA raised more than $11 million in donations from individuals and foundations. Prior to joining FGA, Tarren served as the chief executive officer at the Maine Heritage Policy Center. He also served in the Maine House of Representatives, and remains the youngest person elected to the Maine Legislature, serving from 1996 to 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maine and a Master of Science of Business from Husson University. A nationally recognized policy expert, Tarren has testified before Congress, various state legislative committees, and numerous national and international conferences. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, the Boston Globe, and The New York Times, and his research has been published with The Heritage Foundation and The Manhattan Institute. Over the decades that have followed, he has become co-founder, co-owner and a director of multiple manufacturing related businesses that were grown from an idea into profitable companies. Most business units in the portfolio are located in Michigan providing commercial and industrial products and services to US markets. Greg is currently co-founder and Chairman of the non-profit Economic Generator Network. At Florida Gulf Coast University, he currently serves on the School of Entrepreneurship Advisory Board. Greg continues to mentor others in for-profit, non-profit, and faith-based organizations. In Michigan, Greg is a former Executive Committee member of both the Michigan Future Talent Council and Region 3 of the Michigan Regional Prosperity Initiative. He is a past director of Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium Workforce Development Board, Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce and Target Alpena Economic Development Corporation. He was honored as a Fellow of the College by Alpena Community College.
